Ladle & Lemon

This painting was made in the old Vitruvian studio space. The arrangement was setup so I could work on this alongside students as they pursued their own work. I really like how the cool tones of the blue fabric and steel ladle contrast with the warmth of the lemon and yellow fabric. The transitions on the milk can as the light mass turns into shadow were also fun to paint, with subtle hue shifts happening as different surfaces are reflected in the shiny enamel.
